A - What The Maker's Manual says -
Jesus Rules (New Testament)
Matthew 1 : 17 - So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David to the carrying away to Babylon fourteen generations; and from the carrying away to Babylon to the Christ fourteen generations.
Matthew 2 : 11 - opening their treasures they offered to him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.
Matthew 3: 16 - And Jesus when he was baptized, went up straightway from the water: and lo, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon him; and lo, a voice out of the heavens, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Matthew 11 : 28 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 21 : 23 ( Mark 11 : 27, Luke 20 : 1 ) - And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority do you these things? and who gave you this authority? And Jesus answered and said to them, I also will ask you one question, which if you tell me, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things. The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven or from men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say to us, Why then did you not believe him? But if we shall say, From men; we fear the multitude; for all hold John as a prophet. And they answered Jesus, and said, We know not. He also said to them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.
Matthew 22 : 41 - (Mark 12 :35, Luke 20 : 41) - Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question, saying, What think you of the Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David. He says to them, How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit on my right hand, Till I put your enemies underneath your feet? If David then calls him Lord, how is he his son? And no one was able to answer him a word, neither dared any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.
Matthew 27 : 11 (Mark 15 : 1, Luke 23 : 2, John 18 : 29 ) - And straightway in the morning the chief priests with the elders and scribes, and the whole council, held a consultation, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him up to Pilate. Now Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Are you the King of the Jews? And Jesus said to him, You say. And when he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing. Then said Pilate to him, Hear you not how many things they witness against you? And he gave him no answer, not even to one word: insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly. Now at the feast the governor was wont to release to the multitude one prisoner, whom they would. And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas. When therefore they were gathered together, Pilate said to them, Whom will you that I release to you? Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ? For he knew that for envy they had delivered him up. And while he was sitting on the judgment-seat, his wife sent to him, saying, Have nothing to do with that righteous man; for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him. Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the multitudes that they should ask for Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. But the governor answered and said to them, Which of the two will you that I release to you? And they said, Barabbas. Pilate said tto them, What then shall I do to Jesus who is called Christ? They all say, Let him be crucified. And he said, Why, what evil has he done? But they cried out exceedingly, saying, Let him be be crucified. So when Pilate saw that he prevailed nothing, but rather that a tumult was arising, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this righteous man; see you to it. And all the people answered and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
Mark 6 : 4 - Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, save in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marvelled because of their unbelief.
Mark 15 : 39 - And when the centurion, who stood by over against him, saw that he so gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God. And there were also women beholding from afar: among whom were both Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome; who, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered to him; and many other women that came up with him to Jerusalem.
Luke 2 : 16 - And they came with haste, and found both Mary and Joseph, and the babe lying in the manger.
Luke 8 : 22 - Now it came to pass on one of those days, that he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples; and he said to them, Let us go over to the other side of the lake: and they launched forth. But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. And he awoke, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. And he said to them, Where is your faith? And being afraid they marvelled, saying one to another, Who then is this, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?
Luke 22 : 70 - And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and beat him. And they blindfolded him, and asked him, saying, Prophesy: who is he that struck you? And many other things spoke they against him, reviling him. And as soon as it was day, the assembly of the elders of the people was gathered together, both chief priests and scribes; and they led him away into their council, saying, If you are the Christ, tell us. But he said to them, If I tell you, you will not believe: and if I ask you, you will not answer. But from henceforth shall the Son of man be seated at the right hand of the power of God. And they all said, Are you then the Son of God? And he said to them, You say that I am. And they said, What further need have we of witness? for we ourselves have heard from his own mouth.
John 1 : 49 - Nathanael answered him, Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel. Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to you, I saw you underneath the fig tree, believe you? You shall see greater things than these. And he said to him, Verily, verily, I say to you, You shall see the heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
John 5 : 21 - For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whom he will. For neither does the Father judge any man, but he has given all judgment to the Son; that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honors not the Son honors not the Father that sent him. Verily, verily, I say to you, He that hears my word, and believes him that sent me, has eternal life, and comes not into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
John 6 : 45 - It is written in the prophets, And they shall all be taught of God. Every one that has heard from the Father, and has learned, comes to me. Not that any man has seen the Father, save he that is from God, he has seen the Father. Verily, verily, I say to you, He that believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down out of heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: yes and the bread which I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world. The Jews therefore strove one with another, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? Jesus therefore said to them, Verily, verily, I say to you, Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have not life in yourselves. He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life: and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father; so he that eats me, he also shall live because of me. This is the bread which came down out of heaven: not as the fathers ate, and died; he that eats this bread shall live for ever. These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. Many therefore of his disciples, when they heard this, said, This is a hard saying; who can hear it? But Jesus knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at this, said to them, Does this cause you to stumble? What then if you should behold the Son of man ascending where he was before?
John 7 : 45 - The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said to them, Why did you not bring him? The officers answered, Never man so spoke. The Pharisees therefore answered them, Are you also led astray? Has any of the rulers believed on him, or of the Pharisees? But this multitude that knows not the law are accursed. Nicodemus said to them (he that came to him before, being one of them), Does our law judge a man, except it first hear from himself and know what he does? They answered and said to him, Are you also of Galilee? Search, and see that out of Galilee arises no prophet. And they went every man to his own house:
John 18 : 1 ( Matthew 26 : 47, Mark 14 : 27, Luke 22 : 31, ) - When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Kidron, where was a garden, into which he entered, himself and his disciples. Now Judas also, who betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus oft-times resorted thither with his disciples. Judas then, having received the band of soldiers, and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, came thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were coming upon him, went forth, and said to them, Whom seek you? They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus said to them, I am he. And Judas also, who betrayed him, was standing with them. When therefore he said to them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. Again therefore he asked them, Whom seek you? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus answered, I told you that I am he; if therefore you seek me, let these go their way: that the word might be fulfilled which he spoke, Of those whom you have given me I lost not one. Simon Peter therefore having a sword drew it, and struck the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. Now the servant's name was Malchus. Jesus therefore said to Peter, Put up the sword into the sheath: the cup which the Father has given me, shall I not drink it? So the band and the chief captain, and the officers of the Jews, seized Jesus and bound him,
John 19 : 12 - ( Matthew 27 : 27, Mark 15 : 16 ) -Upon this Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If you release this man, you are not Caesar's friend: every one that makes himself a king speaks against Caesar. When Pilate therefore heard these words, he brought Jesus out, and sat down on the judgment-seat at a place called The Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha. Now it was the Preparation of the passover: it was about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, Behold, your King! They therefore cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him! Pilate said to them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.
Acts 2 : 36 - Brethren, I may say unto you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us unto this day. Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins he would set one upon his throne; he foreseeing this spoke of the resurrection of the Christ
Acts 9 : 20 - And straightway in the synagogues he proclaimed Jesus, that he is the Son of God. And all that heard him were amazed, and said, Is not this he that in Jerusalem made havoc of them that called on this name?
Ephesians 1 : 21 - far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Philippians 2 : 9 - Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father
Colossians 1 : 18 - And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it was the good pleasure of the Father that in him should all the fulness dwell; and through him to reconcile all things to himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross; through him, I say, whether things upon the earth, or things in the heavens.
Colossians 2 : 10 .... and in him you are made full, who is the head of all principality and power: in whom you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ; having been buried with him in baptism, wherein you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. And you, being dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, you, I say, did he make alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses; having blotted out the bond written in ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us: and he has taken it out that way, nailing it to the cross; having despoiled the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Titus 2 : 13 - looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.
Hebrews. 1 : 1 - God, having of old time spoken to the fathers in the prophets by divers portions and in divers manners, has at the end of these days spoken unto us in his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things...., sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high...
Hebrews 13 : 8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and to-day, yes and for ever.
2 Peter 1 : 16 - For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when there was borne such a voice to him by the Majestic Glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased: and this voice we ourselves heard borne out of heaven, when we were with him in the holy mount.
Revelation 1 : 18 - he laid his right hand upon me, saying, Fear not; I am the first and the last, and the Living one; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.
Revelation 5 : 9 - And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy are you to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and did purchase to God with your blood men of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation, and made them to be to our God a kingdom and priests; and they reign upon earth
2 Samuel 7 : Isaiah 9 : 6 - .... his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end .....
Isaiah 53 : 1 - Who has believed our message? and to whom has the arm of Jehovah been revealed? For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he has no form nor comeliness; and when we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He was despised, and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief
... Never pictured during His time on earth, He is probably the best documented of any historical figure - including Julius Caesar.
