Abortion

When a girl under 16 is sent for an abortion without telling her parents it means that the baby is killed and a vulnerable teenager has to cope with the physical and emotional consequences without parental support.

Alarmed by the figures for 2007, the latest available, showing the highest rate ever of under-18 abortions, the British government is being urged to establish an abortion information clinic in every school and sixth-form college.
