2 Samuel 5 : 1 - Then came all the tribes of Israel to David to Hebron, and spoke, saying, Behold, we are your bone and your flesh. They that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken Jehovah, the fountain of living waters. Matthew 12 : 22 - Then was brought to him one possessed with a demon, blind and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the dumb man spoke and saw. Matthew 12 : 30 - He that is not with me is against me, and he that gathers not with me scatters.

Matthew 13 : 27 - Another parable set he before them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened to a man that sowed good seed in his field: but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares also among the wheat, and went away. But when the blade sprang up and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. Psalm 89 : 15 - Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: They walk, O Jehovah, in the light of your countenance. Ezekiel 17 : 22 - Thus says the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest branch of the high cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will plant it upon an high mountain and eminent: In the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell. Ezra 4 : 1 - Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the children of the captivity builded the temple to the LORD God of Israel; Then they came to Zerubbabel, and to the chief of the fathers, and said to them, Let us build with you: for we seek your God, as you do; and we do sacrifice to him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assur, which brought us up hither. But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said to them, You have nothing to do with us to build an house to our God; but we ourselves together will build to the LORD God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia has commanded us. Then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and troubled them in building, And hired counsellors against them, to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia.

Nehemiah 4 : 1 - But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we builded the wall, he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews. And he spoke before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned? Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall. Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity: And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before you: for they have provoked you to anger before the builders. Job 5 : 1 - Call now; is there any that will answer you? And to which of the holy ones will you turn? For vexation kills the foolish man, And jealousy slays the silly one. I have seen the foolish taking root: But suddenly I cursed his habitation. His children are far from safety, And they are crushed in the gate, Neither is there any to deliver them: Whose harvest the hungry eats up, And takes it even out of the thorns; And the snare gapes for their substance. Although affliction comes not forth of the dust, neither does trouble spring out of the ground; Yet man is born to trouble, as the sparks fly upward. I would seek to God, and to God would I commit my cause: Which does great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number: Who gives rain upon the earth, and sends waters upon the fields: To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety. He disappoints the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. He takes the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong. They meet with darkness in the daytime, and grope in the noonday as in the night. But he saves the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty. So the poor have hope, and iniquity stops her mouth.

Job 14 : 1 - Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble. He comes forth like a flower, and is cut down: he flees also as a shadow, and continues not. And do you open your eyes upon such an one, and bring me into judgment with you? Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one. Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with you, you have appointed his bounds that he cannot pass; Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish, as a hireling, his day.

Psalm 8 : 3 - What is man, that you are mindful of him? and the son of man, that you visit him? For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and have crowned him with glory and honour.You made him to have dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yes, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatever passes through the paths of the seas. Psalm 18 : 43 - You have delivered me from the strivings of the people; You have made me the head of the nations: A people whom I have not known shall serve me. As soon as they hear of me they shall obey me; The foreigners shall submit themselves to me. The foreigners shall fade away, And shall come trembling out of their close places.

Ecclesiastes 4 : 13 - Better is a poor and wise youth than an old and foolish king, who knows not how to receive admonition any more. For out of prison he came forth to be king; yes, even in his kingdom he was born poor. I saw all the living that walk under the sun, that they were with the youth, the second, that stood up in his stead.There was no end of all the people, even of all them over whom he was: yet they that come after shall not rejoice in him. Hosea 8 : 4 - They have set up kings, but not by me; they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off. He has cast off your calf, O Samaria; my anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency? For from Israel is even this; the workman made it, and it is no God; yes, the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces. Guys with a vision of God The Maker's kingdom in the middle ages sought to live it in walled-in community. Hailes Abbey in Gloucestershire, England, testifies to the dedication and power they wielded for some centuries.
