A - What The Maker's Manual says -

Recognise God The Maker (New Testament)

Luke 24 : 31 - And they drew nigh to the village, whither they were going: and he made as though he would go further. And they constrained him, saying, Abide with us; for it is toward evening, and the day is now far spent. And he went in to abide with them. And it came to pass, when he had sat down with them to meat, he took the bread and blessed; and breaking it he gave to them. And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

John 1 : 18 - No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him

John 7 : 25 - Some therefore of them of Jerusalem said, Is not this he whom they seek to kill? And lo, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is the Christ? Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when the Christ comes, no one knows whence he is. Jesus therefore cried in the temple, teaching and saying, You both know me, and know whence I am; and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom you know not. I know him; because I am from him, and he sent me.

John 14 : 9 - Jesus says to him, Have I been so long time with you, and do you not know me, Philip? he that has seen me has seen the Father; how say you, Show us the Father? Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I say unto you I speak not from myself: but the Father abiding in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

Romans 1 : 20 - Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God has shewed it to them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Recognise God The Maker (Old Testament)

Job 18 : 1 - Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said, How long will it be ere you make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak. Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight? He tears himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for you? and shall the rock be removed out of his place? Yes, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine. The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him. The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down. For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walks upon a snare. The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him. The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet. His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side. It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength. His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors. It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation. His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off. His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street. He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world. He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings. They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted. Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knows not God.

Psalm 53 : 1 - For the Chief Musician; set to Mahalath. Maschil of David.- The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity; There is none that does good. God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, That did seek after God. Every one of them is gone back; They are together become filthy; There is none that does good, no, not one. Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And call not upon God? There were they in great fear, where no fear was; For God has scattered the bones of him that encamps against you: You have put them to shame, because of God has rejected them.

Psalm 92 : 4 - For you, LORD, have made me glad through your work: I will triumph in the works of your hands. O LORD, how great are your works! and your thoughts are very deep. A brutish man knows not; neither does a fool understand this. When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever: But you, LORD, are most high for evermore. For, lo, your enemies, O LORD, for, lo, your enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. But my horn shall you exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. My eye also has seen my desire on my enemies, My ears have heard my desire of the evil-doers that rise up against me.

Psalm 111 : 2 - Praise you the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endures for ever. He has made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion. He has given meat to them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant. He has shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen. The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. He sent redemption to his people: he has commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endures for ever.

Isaiah 64 : 1 - Oh that you would rend the heavens, that you would come down, that the mountains might flow down at your presence, As when the melting fire burns, the fire causes the waters to boil, to make your name known to your adversaries, that the nations may tremble at your presence! When you did terrible things which we looked not for, you came down, the mountains flowed down at your presence. For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen, O God, beside you, what he has prepared for him that waits for him. You meet him that rejoices and works righteousness, those that remember you in your ways: behold, you are wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.

Jeremiah 40 : 1 - The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive to Babylon. And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said to him, The LORD your God has pronounced this evil upon this place. Now the LORD has brought it, and done according as he has said: because you have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you. And now, behold, I loose you this day from the chains which are upon your hand. If it seem good to you to come with me into Babylon, come, and I will look well to you; but if it seem ill to you to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before you; whither it seems good and right to you to go, thither go. Now while he was not yet gone back, Go back then, said he, to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people; or go whereever it seems right to you to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a present, and let him go. ( 6  ) Then went Jeremiah to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah, and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land..

Song of Songs 5 : 15 - His aspect is like Lebanon, excellent as the cedars. His mouth is most sweet; Yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend

Know God The Maker for Yourself (New Testament)

Matthew 27 : 21 - Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the multitudes that they should ask for Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. But the governor answered and said to them, Which of the two will you that I release to you? And they said, Barabbas. Pilate said to them, What then shall I do to Jesus who is called Christ? They all say, Let him be crucified. And he said, Why, what evil has he done? But they cried out exceedingly, saying, Let him be be crucified. So when Pilate saw that he prevailed nothing, but rather that a tumult was arising, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this righteous man; see you to it. And all the people answered and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. Then released he to them Barabbas; but Jesus he scourged and delivered to be crucified.

John 15 : 4 - Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; so neither can you, except you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit: for apart from me you can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done to you. Herein is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so shall you be my disciples. Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you: abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.

John 17 : 3 - And this is life eternal, that they should know you the only true God, and him whom you sent, even Jesus Christ.

Acts 7 : 38 - This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spoke to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give to us: To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt, Saying to Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him. And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice to the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands. Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O you house of Israel, have you offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness? Yes, you took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which you made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

1 Corinthians 1 : 4 - I thank my God always concerning you, for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus; that in everything you were enriched in him, in all utterance and all knowledge; even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: so that you come behind in no gift; waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ; who shall also confirm you to the end, that you be unreproveable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Corinthians 8 : 3 - And if any man think that he knows any thing, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know. But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

Philippians 3 : 10 .... that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed unto his death

Colossians 1 : 13 - the Son of his love; in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins: who is the image of the invisible God.

2 Timothy 1 : 11 - for I know him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to guard that which I have committed to him against that day.

Titus 1 : 15 - To the pure all things are pure: but to them that are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled. They profess that they know God; but by their works they deny him being abominable, and disobedient, and to every good work reprobate.

2 Peter 1 : 1 - Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained a like precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and the Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that called us by his own glory and virtue whereby he has granted to us his precious and exceeding great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in that world by lust.

1 John 2 : 12 - I write unto you, my little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake. I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I have written to you, little children, because you know the Father. I have written to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning.

1 John 2 : 23 - he that confesses the Son has the Father also. .... If that which you heard from the beginning abide in you, you also shall abide in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise which he promised us, even the life eternal.

1 John 2 : 28 - And now, my little children, abide in him; that, if he shall be manifested, we may have boldness, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. If you know that he is righteous, you know that every one also that does righteousness is begotten of him.

1 John 5 : 1 - Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is begotten of God: and whoever loves him that begat loves him also that is begotten of him. Hereby we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and do his commandments.

Know God The Maker for Yourself (Old Testament)

Deuteronomy 4 : 15 - Take you therefore good heed to yourselves; for you saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spoke to you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire: Lest you corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female, The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flies in the air, The likeness of any thing that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth: And lest you lift up your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, should be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD your God has divided uto all nations under the whole heaven. ( 20 ) But the LORD has taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be to him a people of inheritance, as you are this day. Furthermore the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and swore that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in to that good land, which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance: But I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but you shall go over, and possess that good land. Take heed to yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD your God has forbidden you. For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God. When you shall beget children, and children’s children, and you shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD your God, to provoke him to anger: I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereto you go over Jordan to possess it; you shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed. And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and you shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you. And there you shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell. But if from thence you shall seek the LORD your God, you shall find him, if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. ( 30 )

2 Samuel 22 : 26 - With the merciful you will shew yourself merciful, and with the upright man you will shew yourself upright.
With the pure you will shew yourself pure; and with the froward you will shew yourself unsavoury. And the afflicted people you will save: but your eyes are upon the haughty, that you may bring them down. For you are my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness. For by you I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. With the merciful you wilt show yourself merciful; With the perfect man you wilt show tourself perfect; With the pure you wilt show yourself pure; And with the perverse you wilt show yourself froward. And the afflicted people you will save; But your eyes are upon the haughty, that you may bring them down. For ou are my lamp, O Jehovah; And Jehovah will lighten my darkness. For by you I run upon a troop; By my God do I leap over a wall. As for God, his way is perfect: The word of Jehovah is tried; He is a shield to all them that take refuge in him. For who is God, save Jehovah? And who is a rock, save our God?

2 Samuel 22 : 32, For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God? God is my strong fortress; And he guides the perfect in his way. He makes his feet like hinds' feet, And sets me upon my high places. He teaches my hands to war, So that mine arms do bend a bow of brass. You have also given me the shield of your salvation; And your gentleness has made me great.

1 Kings 19 : 9 - And he came thither to a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of Jehovah came to him, and he said to him, What do you here, Elijah? And he said, I have been very jealous for Jehovah, the God of hosts; for the children of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and slain your prophets with the sword: and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away. And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before Jehovah. And, behold, Jehovah passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and broke in pieces the rocks before Jehovah; but Jehovah was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but Jehovah was not in the earthquake: and after the earthquake a fire; but Jehovah was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

Psalm 18 : 25 - With the merciful you wilt show yourself merciful; With the perfect man you will show yourself perfect; With the pure you will show yourself pure; And with the perverse you will show yourself froward.

Psalm 53 : 1 - To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David. The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that does good. God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that does good, no, not one. Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God. There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God has scattered the bones of him that encamped against you: you have put them to shame, because God has despised them.

Psalm 115 : 1 - Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory, for your mercy, and for your truth’s sake.Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God? But our God is in the heavens: he has done whatever he has pleased. Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not: They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat. They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusts in them.

Psalm 135 : 1 - Praise you the LORD. Praise you the name of the LORD; praise him, O you servants of the LORD. You that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God, Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises to his name; for it is pleasant. For the LORD has chosen Jacob to himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.

Jeremiah 9 : 23 - Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches; but let him that glories glory in this, that he has understanding, and knows me

Daniel 11 : 32 .... the people that know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

Hosea 4 : 6 - My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to me: seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. As they were multiplied, so they sinned against me: I will change their glory into shame. They feed on the sin of my people, and set their heart on their iniquity. And it shall be, like people, like priest; and I will punish them for their ways, and will requite them their doings. And they shall eat, and not have enough; they shall play the harlot, and shall not increase; because they have left off taking heed to Jehovah. Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the understanding (12 ).
