God the Maker is my Father (New Testament)
Luke 15 : 20 - And he arose, and came to his father. But while he was yet afar off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
John 1 : 12 - But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 3 : 35 - The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand. He that believes on the Son has eternal life; but he that obeys not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.
John 8 : 21 - He said therefore again to them, I go away, and you shall seek me, and shall die in your sin: whither I go, you cannot come. The Jews therefore said, Will he kill himself, that he says, Whither I go, you cannot come? And he said to them, You are from beneath; I am from above: you are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore to you, that you shall die in your sins: for except you believe that I am he, you shall die in your sins. They said therefore to him, Who are you? Jesus said to them, Even that which I have also spoken to you from the beginning. I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you: howbeit he that sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these speak I to the world. They perceived not that he spoke to them of the Father. Jesus therefore said, When you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself, but as the Father taught me, I speak these things. And he that sent me is with me; he has not left me alone; for I do always the things that are pleasing to him. As he spoke these things, many believed on him.
John 19 : 5 (Matthew 27 : 27, Mark 15 : 16 ) - Jesus therefore came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple garment. And Pilate said to them, Behold, the man! When therefore the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him! Pilate said to them, Take him yourselves, and crucify him: for I find no crime in him. The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by that law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
Romans 4 : 16 - Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, (As it is written, I have made you a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calls those things which be not as though they were.
Romans 8 : 14 - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God
Galatians 4 : 6 ....when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, that he might redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because you are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba*, Father.
Hebrews 12 : 5 - and you have forgotten the exhortation which reasons with you as with sons, My son, regard not lightly the chastening of the Lord, Nor faint when you are reproved of him; For whom the Lord loves he chastens, And scourges every son whom he receives. It is for chastening that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father chastens not? But if you are without chastening, whereof all have been made partakers, then are you bastards, and not sons. Furthermore, we had the fathers of our flesh to chasten us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live? For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed good to them; but he for our profit, that we may be partakers of his holiness. All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields peaceable fruit to them that have been exercised thereby, even the fruit of righteousness. Wherefore lift up the hands that hang down, and the palsied knees; and make straight paths for your feet, that that which is lame be not turned out of the way, but rather be healed.
1 Peter 2 : 9 ... you are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
God the Maker is my Father (Old Testament)
Exodus 16 : 16 - And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness a small round thing, small as the hoar-frost on the ground. And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, What is it? for they knew not what it was. And Moses said to them, It is the bread which Jehovah has given you to eat. This is the thing which Jehovah has commanded. Gather you of it every man according to his eating; an omer a head, according to the number of your persons, shall you take it, every man for them that are in his tent. And the children of Israel did so, and gathered some more, some less. And when they measured it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.
Deuteronomy 1 : 31 - And in the wilderness, where you have seen how that the LORD your God bore you, as a man does bear his son, in all the way that you went, until you came into this place. Yet in this thing you did not believe the LORD your God, Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way you should go, and in a cloud by day
Psalm 18 : 2 - Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my rock, in whom I will take refuge; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
Psalm 82 : 1 - God stands in the congregation of God; He judges among the gods. How long will you judge unjustly, And respect the persons of the wicked? [Selah] Judge the poor and fatherless: Do justice to the afflicted and destitute. Rescue the poor and needy: Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked. They know not, neither do they understand; They walk to and fro in darkness: All the foundations of the earth are shaken. I said, You are gods, And all of you sons of the Most High. Nevertheless you shall die like men, And fall like one of the princes. ( 8 ) Arise, O God, judge the earth; For you shall inherit all the nations.
Psalm 103 : 13 - Like as a father pities his children, So Jehovah pities them that fear him. For he knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. .... But the lovingkindness of Jehovah is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, And his righteousness unto children's children; To such as keep his covenant, And to those that remember his precepts to do them.
Isaiah 63 : 15 - Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory: where are your zeal and your mighty acts? the yearning of your heart and your compassions are restrained toward me. For you are our Father, though Abraham knows us not, and Israel does not acknowledge us: you, O Jehovah, are our Father; our Redeemer from everlasting is your name. O Jehovah, why do you make us to err from your ways, and hardens our heart from your fear? Return for your servants’ sake, the tribes of your inheritance. Your holy people possessed it but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down your sanctuary. We are become as they over whom you never bore rule, as they that were not called by your name.
Isaiah 64 : 8 - But now, O Jehovah, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you our potter; and we all are the work of your hand. Be not wroth very sore, O Jehovah, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, look, we beseech you, we are all your people. Your holy cities are become a wilderness, Zion is become a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation. Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised you, is burned with fire; and all our pleasant places are laid waste. Will you refrain yourself for these things, O Jehovah? will you hold your peace, and afflict us very sore?
Jeremiah 29 : 11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end. And you shall call upon me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will hearken to you. And you shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart.
God My Father gives meaning to my life.
I am loved and wanted.
Now I know who I am, why I am here and where I'm going.
