What You Say is What You Get ( New Testament)
5 : 37 - But let your speech be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: and whatsoever
is more than these is of the evil one.
8 : 8 .... the centurion answered and said, Lord, I
am not worthy that you should come under my roof; but only say the
word, and my servant shall be healed.
For I also am a man under authority, having under myself soldiers: and
I say to this one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes;
and to my servant, Do this, and he does
it. And when Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed,
Verily I say to you, I have not found so great faith,
no, not in Israel.
Matthew 10 : 32 - Every one therefore who shall confess
me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven. But whoever shall deny me before men, him
will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven
12 : 32 - And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it
shall be forgiven him; but whosoever
shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it
shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in that which is
to come. Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree
corrupt, and its fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by its fruit. You
offspring of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? for out
of the abundance of the heart the mouth
speaks. The good man out of his good treasure brings forth good things:
and the evil man out of his evil treasure brings forth evil things. And
I say to you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give
account thereof in the day of judgment.
For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall
20 : 29 - And as they went out from Jericho, a great multitude
followed him. And behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when
they heard that Jesus was passing by,
cried out, saying, Lord, have mercy on us, you son of David. And the multitude
rebuked them, that they should hold their peace: but they cried out the
more, saying, Lord, have mercy on us, you son of David. And Jesus stood
still, and called them, and said, What will you that I should do to you?
They say to him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. And Jesus, being moved
with compassion, touched their eyes; and straightway they received their sight, and followed him.
11 : 22 - And Jesus answering said to them, Have faith in God. Verily I say to you, Whoever shall say to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea; and shall
not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he says comes to pass; he shall have it. Therefore I say to
you, All things whatever you pray and ask
for, believe that you receive them, and you
shall have them.
7 : 6 ( Matthew 8 : 10 ) - And Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying to him, Lord,
trouble not yourself; for I am not worthy that you should come under my
roof: wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come to you: but say
the word, and my servant shall be healed.
For I also am a man set under authority, having under myself soldiers:
and I say to this one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes;
and to my servant, Do this, and he does it. And when Jesus heard these
things, he marvelled at him, and turned and said to the multitude that
followed him, I say to you, I have not found so great faith,
no, not in Israel. And they that were sent,
returning to the house, found the servant whole.
18 : 27 - But he said, The things which are impossible with men
are possible with God.
21 : 15 -So when they had broken their fast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these? He said to him, Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.
He said to him, Feed my lambs. He said to him again a second time, Simon,
son of John,do you love me? He said to him, Yes, Lord; you know that I
love you. He said to him, Tend my sheep. He said to him the third time,
Do you Love me? And he said to him, Lord, you know all things; you know
that I love you. Jesus said to him, Feed my sheep. Verily, verily, I say to you, When you were young, you
girded yourself, and walked whither you would but when you shall be old,
you shall stretch forth your hands, and another shall gird you, and carry
you whither you would not. Now this he spoke, signifying by what manner
of death he should glorify God. And when
he had spoken this, he said to him, Follow me.
4 : 17 - (as it is written, A father of
many nations have I made you)
before him whom he believed, even God,
who gives life to the dead, and calls the things that are not, as though
they were. Who in hope believed against hope,
to the end that he might become a father of many nations, according to
that which had been spoken, So shallyour seed be. And without being weakened
in faith he considered his own body now as good as dead (he being about
a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb; yet, looking to
the promise of God, he wavered not through
unbelief, but waxed strong through faith, giving glory to God,
and being fully assured that what he had promised, he was able also to
perform. Wherefore also it was reckoned to him for righteousness.
Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was reckoned to him;
but for our sake also, to whom it shall be reckoned, who believe on him
that raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,
who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.
10 : 8 - if you shall confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and shall believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved: for with the
heart man believes unto righteousness; and with
the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Corinthians 9 : 1 - For as touching the
ministering to the saints, it is superfluous
for me to write to you: for I know your readiness,
of which I glory on your behalf to them of Macedonia, that Achaia has
been prepared for a year past; and your zeal has stirred up very many
of them. But I have sent the brethren, that our glorying on your behalf
may not be made void in this respect; that, even as I said, you may be
prepared: lest by any means, if there come with me any of Macedonia and
find you unprepared, we (that we say not, you) should be put to shame
in this confidence. I thought it necessary therefore to entreat the brethren,
that they would go before to you, and make up beforehand your aforepromised bounty, that the same might be ready as a matter of bounty, and not of
Timothy 6 : 12 - Fight the good fight
of the faith, lay hold on the life eternal,
whereto you were called, and did confess the good confession in the sight
of many witnesses.
7 : 25 - Wherefore also he is able to save to the uttermost
them that draw near to God through
him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them.
3 : 5 -
So the tongue also is a little member,
and boasts great things. Behold, how much wood is kindled by how small
a fire! And the tongue is a fire: the world of iniquity among our members
is the tongue, which defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the wheel
of nature, and is set on fire by hell. For every kind of beasts and birds,
of creeping things and things in the sea, is tamed, and has been tamed
by mankind. But the tongue can no man tame; it is a restless evil, it
is full of deadly poison. Therewith we bless the Lord and Father; and therewith we curse men, who are made after
the likeness of God: out of the same mouth comes forth blessing and cursing.
My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
What You Say is What You Get ( Old Testament)
1 : 2 - God said, Let there be light: and there
Genesis 2 : 19 - And out of the ground Jehovah God formed every beast of the field, and every bird of the heavens; and brought them to the man to see what he would call them: and whatever the man called every living creature, that was the name thereof. ( 20 ) And the man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the heavens, and to every beast of the field.
13 : 14 - And Jehovah said to Abram, after
that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now your eyes, and look from
the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward:
for all the land which you see, to you will I give it, and to your seed
for ever. And I will make your seed as the dust of the earth: So that
if a man can number the dust of the earth, then may your seed also be
numbered. Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the
breadth of it; for to you will I give it. And Abram moved his tent, and
came and dwelt by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built there
an altar to Jehovah.
18 : 1 - And Jehovah appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as
he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; and he lifted up his eyes
and looked, and, lo, three men stood over against him: and when he saw
them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself to the
earth, and said, My lord, if now I have found favor inyour sight, pass
not away, I pray you, from your servant: let now a little water be fetched,
and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree: and I will fetch
a morsel of bread, and strengthen you your heart; after that you shall
pass on: forasmuch as you are come to your servant. And they said, So
do, as you have said. And Abraham hastened into the tent to Sarah, and
said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make
cakes. And Abraham ran to the herd, and fetched a calf tender and good,
and gave it to the servant; and he hasted to dress it. And he took butter,
and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and
he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat. And they said to him,
Where is Sarah your wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent. And he said,
I will certainly return to you when the season comes round; and, lo, Sarah your
wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard in the tent door, which was behind
him. Now Abraham and Sarah were old, and well stricken in age; it had
ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. And Sarah laughed within
herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being
old also? And Jehovah said to Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying,
Shall I of a surety bear a child, who am old? Is anything too hard for
Jehovah? At the set time I will return to you, when the season comes round,
and Sarah shall have a son. Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not;
for she was afraid. And he said, No; but you did laugh.
4 : 10 - And Moses said to Jehovah, Oh, Lord, I am not eloquent,
neither heretofore, nor since you have spoken to your servant; for I
am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. And Jehovah said to him,
Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes
a man dumb, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, Jehovah? Now therefore
go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall speak.
And he said, Oh, Lord, send, I pray you, by the hand of him whom you will
send. And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Moses, and he said,
Is there not Aaron your brother the Levite? I know that he can speak well.
And also, behold, he comes forth to meet you: and when he sees you, he
will be glad in his heart. And you shall speak to him, and put the words
in his mouth: and I will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and will
teach you what you shall do. And he shall be your spokesman to the people;
and it shall come to pass, that he shall be to you a mouth, and you shall
be to him as God. And you shall take in your hand this rod, wherewith
you shall do the signs.(17)
Exodus 6 : 10 - And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, Go in, speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land. And Moses spoke before Jehovah, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened to me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips? And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, and gave them a charge to the children of Israel, and to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.(13)
Exodus 6 : 28 - And it came to pass on the day when Jehovah spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt, that Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, I am Jehovah: speak you to Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I speak to you. And Moses said before Jehovah, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken to me?
8 : 9 - And
Moses said to Pharaoh, Have you this glory over me: against what time
shall I entreat for your, and for your servants, and for your people,
that the frogs be destroyed from you and your houses, and remain in the
river only? And he said, Against to-morrow. And he said, Be it according
to your word; that you may know that there is none like to Jehovah our
God. And the frogs shall depart from you, and from your houses, and from
your servants, and from your people; they shall remain in the river only.
And Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh: and Moses cried to Jehovah
concerning the frogs which he had brought upon Pharaoh. And Jehovah did
according to the word of Moses; and the frogs died out of the houses,
out of the courts, and out of the fields. And they gathered them together
in heaps; and the land stank. But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite,
he hardened his heart, and hearkened not
to them, as Jehovah had spoken.
Numbers 13 : 17 - And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said to them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain: And see the land, what it is; and the people that dwell therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many; And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds; And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes. So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin to Rehob, as men come to Hamath. And they ascended by the south, and came to Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.) ( 23 )
14 : 26 - And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, How long shall I bear with this evil congregation,
that murmur against me? I have heard
the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.
Say to them, As I live, says Jehovah, surely as you have spoken in mine
ears, so will I do to you: your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness;
and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from
twenty years old and upward, that have murmured against me, surely you
shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware that I would make
you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son
of Nun. But your little ones, that you said should be a prey, them will
I bring in, and they shall know the land which you have rejected. But
as for you, your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness. And your children
shall be wanderers in the wilderness forty years, and shall bear your
whoredoms, until your dead bodies be consumed in the wilderness. After
the number of the days in which you spied out the land, even forty days,
for every day a year, shall you bear your iniquities, even forty years,
and you shall know my alienation. I, Jehovah, have spoken, surely this
will I do to all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against
me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die. And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land, Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the LORD. But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still.( 38 )
23 : 22 - When you shall vow a vow to Jehovah your God, you shall not be slack to pay it: for Jehovah your
God will surely require it of you; and it would be sin in you. But if you shall forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in you. That which is gone out of your lips you shall keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as you have vowed to the LORD your God, which you have promised with your mouth. When you come into your neighbour’s vineyard, then you may eat grapes your fill at your own pleasure; but you shall not put any in your vessel. ( 25 End ) When you come into the standing corn of your neighbour, then you may pluck the ears with your hand; but you shall not move a sickle to your neighbour’s standing corn.
Deuteronomy 33 : 1 - And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir to them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. Yes, he loved the people; all his saints are in your hand: and they sat down at your feet; every one shall receive of your words. Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob. And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together. Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few. And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him to his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be you an help to him from his enemies. And of Levi he said, Let your Thummim and your Urim be with your holy one, whom you did prove at Massah, and with whom you did strive at the waters of Meribah; Who said to his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed your word, and kept your covenant. They shall teach Jacob your judgments, and Israel your law: they shall put incense before you, and whole burnt sacrifice upon your altar. Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again. And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the LORD shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders. And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that couches beneath, And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon, And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills, And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren. His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh. And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out; and, Issachar, in your tents. They shall call the people to the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.( 20 ) And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlarges Gad: he dwells as a lion, and tears the arm with the crown of the head. And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel. And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion’s whelp: he shall leap from Bashan. And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess you the west and the south. And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil. Your shoes shall be iron and brass; and as your days, so shall your strength be. There is none like to the God of Jeshurun, who rides upon the heaven in your help, and in his excellency on the sky. The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before you; and shall say, Destroy them. Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew. Happy are you, O Israel: who is like to you, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of your help, and who is the sword of uour excellency! and your enemies shall be found liars to you; and you shall tread upon their high places.( 29 End )
Samuel 14 : 24 - And the men of Israel were distressed that day;
for Saul had adjured the people, saying, Cursed be the man that eats any
food until it be evening, and I be avenged on mine enemies. So none of
the people tasted food. And all the people came into the forest; and there
was honey upon the ground. And when the people were come to the forest,
behold, the honey dropped: but no man put his hand to his mouth; for the
people feared the oath. But Jonathan heard not when his father charged
the people with the oath: wherefore he put forth the end of the rod that
was in his hand, and dipped it in the honeycomb, and put his hand to his
mouth; and his eyes were enlightened. Then answered one of the people,
and said, Your father straitly charged the people with an oath, saying,
Cursed be the man that eats food this day. And the people were faint.
Then said Jonathan, My father has troubled the land: see, I pray you,
how mine eyes have been enlightened, because I tasted a little of this
honey. How much more, if haply the people had eaten freely to-day of the
spoil of their enemies which they found? for now has there been no great
slaughter among the Philistines. (31) And they smote of the Philistines that day from Michmash to Aijalon. And the people were very faint; and the people flew upon the spoil, and took sheep, and oxen, and calves, and slew them on the ground; and the people did eat them with the blood. Then they told Saul, saying, Behold, the people sin against Jehovah, in that they eat with the blood. And he said, you have dealt treacherously: roll a great stone to me this day. And Saul said, Disperse yourselves among the people, and say to them, Bring me hither every man his ox, and every man his sheep, and slay them here, and eat; and sin not against Jehovah in eating with the blood. And all the people brought every man his ox with him that night, and slew them there. And Saul built an altar to Jehovah: the same was the first altar that he built unto Jehovah.(35 )
1 Chronicles 28 : 1 - And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that served the king by course, and the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, and the rulers over all the substance and possessions of the king and of his sons, with the officers, and the mighty men, even all the mighty men of valor, to Jerusalem. Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: as for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and for the footstool of our God; and I had made ready for the building. But God said to me, You shall not build a house for my name, because you are a man of war, and have shed blood. Howbeit Jehovah, the God of Israel, chose me out of all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he has chosen Judah to be prince; and in the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel; And of all my sons (for Jehovah has given me many sons), he has chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of Jehovah over Israel. And he said to me, Solomon your son, he shall build my house and my courts; for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father. And I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do my commandments and my ordinances, as at this day. Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of Jehovah, and in the audience of our God, observe and seek out all the commandments of Jehovah your God; that you may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children after you for ever. And you, Solomon my son, know you the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for Jehovah searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off for ever. ( 10 ) Take heed now; for Jehovah has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.
42 : 2 - Then Job answered Jehovah, and said, I know that you
can do all things, And that no purpose of yours can be restrained.
Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge? Therefore have I uttered
that which I understood not, Things too wonderful for me, which I knew
not. Hear, I beseech you, and I will speak; I will demand of you, and
you declare to me. I had heard of you by the hearing
of the ear; But now my eye sees you:
Wherefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes ( 6 ).
32 : 1 - Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom Jehovah imputes not iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no guile. When I kept silence, my bones wasted away Through my
groaning all the day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon
me: My moisture was changed as with the drought of summer. I acknowledged my sin to you, And mine iniquity did I not hide: I said,
I will confess my transgressions to Jehovah; And you forgave the iniquity
of my sin. For this let every one that is godly pray
to you in a time when you may be found: Surely when the great waters
overflow they shall not reach to him.
13 : 1 - A wise son heareth his father’s instruction; But a scoffer hears not rebuke. A
man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth;
But the soul of the treacherous shall eat violence. He that guards his mouth keeps his life; But he that opens wide his lips shall have destruction.
18 : 21 -
Death and life are in the power of the tongue;
Ezekiel 29 : 1 - In the tenth year, in the tenth month, in the twelfth day of the month, the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt: Speak, and say, Thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lies in the midst of his rivers, which has said, My river is my own, and I have made it for myself. But I will put hooks in your jaws, and I will cause the fish of your rivers to stick to your scales, and I will bring you up out of the midst of your rivers, and all the fish of your rivers shall stick to your scales. And I will leave you thrown into the wilderness, you and all the fish of your rivers: you shall fall upon the open fields; you shall not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given you for meat to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven. And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel. When they took hold of you by your hand, you did break, and rend all their shoulder: and when they leaned upon you, you broke, and made all their loins to be at a stand. Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring a sword upon you, and cut off man and beast out of you. And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste; and they shall know that I am the LORD: because he has said, The river is mine, and I have made it. Behold, therefore I am against you, and against your rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the tower of Syene even to the border of Ethiopia. No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years. And I will make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries. Yet thus says the Lord GOD; At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they were scattered: And I will bring again the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their habitation; and they shall be there a base kingdom. It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations: for I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations. And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, which brings their iniquity to remembrance, when they shall look after them: but they shall know that I am the Lord GOD. And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first month, in the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyrus: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled: yet had he no wages, nor his army, for Tyrus, for the service that he had served against it: Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army. I have given him the land of Egypt for his labour wherewith he served against it, because they wrought for me, says the Lord GOD. ( 21 ) In that day will I cause the horn of the house of Israel to bud forth, and I will give you the opening of the mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
7 : 1 - When I would heal Israel, then is
the iniquity of Ephraim uncovered, and the wickedness of Samaria; for
they commit falsehood, and the thief enters in, and the troop of robbers
ravages without. And they consider not in their hearts that I remember
all their wickedness: now have their own doings beset them about; they
are before my face. They make the king glad with their wickedness, and
the princes with their lies. They are all adulterers; they are as an oven
heated by the baker; he ceases to stir the fire, from the kneading of
the dough, until it be leavens. On the day of our king the princes made
themselves sick with the heat of wine; he stretched out his hand with
scoffers. For they have made ready their heart like an oven, while they
lie in wait: their baker sleeps all the night; in the morning it burns
as a flaming fire. They are all hot as an oven, and devour their judges;
all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calls to me.
3 : 10 - Proclaim this among the nations; prepare war; stir up the mighty
men; let all the men of war draw near, let them come up. Beat your plowshares
into swords, and your pruning-hooks into spears: let the weak say, I am

Genesis 27 : 30 - And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob was yet scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting. And he also made savory food, and brought it to his father; and he said to his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son’s venison, that your soul may bless me. And Isaac his father said to him, Who are you? And he said, I am your son, your first-born, Esau. And Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who then is he that has taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before you came and have blessed him? yes, and he shall be blessed. When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with an exceeding great and bitter cry, and said to his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father. And he said, Your brother came with guile, and has taken away your blessing. And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he has supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he has taken away my blessing. And he said, Have you not reserved a blessing for me? And Isaac answered and said to Esau, Behold, I have made him your lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with grain and new wine have I sustained him: and what then shall I do for you, my son? And Esau said to his father, Have you but one blessing, my father? Bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept. And Isaac his father answered and said to him, Behold, of the fatness of the earth shall be your dwelling, And of the dew of heaven from above; And by your sword shall you live, and you shall serve your brother; And it shall come to pass, when you shall break loose, That you shall shake his yoke from off your neck.
Genesis 29 : 21 - And Jacob said to Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in to her. And Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast. And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him; and he went in to her.And Laban gave Zilpah his handmaid to his daughter Leah for a handmaid. And it came to pass in the morning that, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this you have done to me? did not I serve with you for Rachel? wherefore then have you beguiled me? And Laban said, It is not so done in our place, to give the younger before the first-born. Fulfil the week of this one, and we will give you the other also for the service which you shall serve with me yet seven other years.
Judges 6 : 11 - And the angel of Jehovah came, and sat under the oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon was beating out wheat in the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites. And the angel of Jehovah appeared to him, and said to him, Jehovah is with you, you mighty man of valor. And Gideon said to him, Oh, my lord, if Jehovah is with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where are all his wondrous works which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not Jehovah bring us up from Egypt? but now Jehovah has cast us off, and delivered us into the hand of Midian. And Jehovah looked upon him, and said, Go in this your might, and save Israel from the hand of Midian: have not I sent you? And he said to him, Oh, Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is the poorest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house. And Jehovah said to him, Surely I will be with you, and you shalt smite the Midianites as one man.
Ecclesiastes 10 : 8 - He that digs a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaks through a wall, a serpent shall bite him. Whoso hews out stones shall be hurt therewith; and he that cleaves wood is endangered thereby. If the iron be blunt, and one do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct. If the serpent bite before it is charmed, then is there no advantage in the charmer.
Ecclesiastes 10 : 20 - Revile not the king, no, not in your thought; and revile not the rich in your bedchamber: for a bird of the heavens shall carry the voice, and that which has wings shall tell the matter.
Amos 3 : 3 - Shall two walk together, except they have agreed? Will a lion roar in the forest, when he has no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing? Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is set for him? shall a snare spring up from the ground, and have taken nothing at all? Shall the trumpet be blown in a city, and the people not be afraid? shall evil befall a city, and Jehovah has not done it? Surely the Lord Jehovah will do nothing, except he reveal his secret to his servants the prophets. The lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord Jehovah has spoken; who can but prophesy?
